TIME TO SHARE

Charities we plan to support in 2022-2023 include:

  • Family Renew Community - Family Renew is committed to helping to solve homelessness, one family at a time. It is immensely difficult to know that any child could spend any part of their childhood caught up in family homelessness. Family Renew Community brings together religious congregations, businesses, civic and charitable organizations and individuals committed to solving homelessness in Volusia County. The program provides housing and helps homeless parents on a path toward supporting their families in places of their own.  The Club collects home goods, provides emergency household items and is committed to helping the ongoing Deland operation with large scale dollar donations each year.

  • Council on Aging - Council on Aging receives funds from the Club specifically for their Meals-On-Wheels program for Deland and the surrounding area. We sponsor their annual fundraisers, provide gifts at holiday time, and planning future hands on support of major projects.

  • The Neighborhood Center - The Neighborhood Center is a total community driven agency providing services for our most vulnerable.  They host a food pantry, thrift store, shelter, and complete service office to serve Deland and the surrounding areas. The Club helps primarily with dollar donations, food and other hard-to-stock store items, which in turn helps the Center overall.

  • Community Partnership for Children - Community Partnership for Children is a system-of-care for transitioning children from dangerous or unfit households to state sponsored child care.  Florida contracts with community-based, respected, local, non-profit agencies to provide child welfare services in their local communities for children who have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned. The Club is a part of their network at holiday time with gifts that bring joy and belonging to the children in transition.

  • Beacon Center - The Beacon Center is Volusia County's only certified Domestic Abuse Center, housing women and children, providing job and legal assistance, and protection during vulnerable times of transition to normalcy.

  • Food Brings Hope - Founded in 2007, FBH is a public charity dedicated to providing collaborative solutions for families with children who experience hardships due to homelessness, poverty, or unfamiliarity with community resources. At present, there are more then 2000 homeless children attending Volusia County Schools.
