Charities we plan to support in 2021-2022 include:

  • Family Renew Community - Family Renew is committed to helping to solve homelessness, one family at a time. It is immensely difficult to know that any child could spend any part of their childhood caught up in family homelessness. Family Renew Community brings together religious congregations, businesses, civic and charitable organizations and individuals committed to solving homelessness in Volusia County. The program provides housing and helps homeless parents on a path toward supporting their families in places of their own.  The Club collects home goods, moves furniture, provides emergency household items and is committed to helping the ongoing Deland operation with large scale dollar donations each year.

  • Blue Lake Elementary School - Blue Lake is a long time charity of the Club and our sponsored school.  We manage school supply drives for them in the Fall, provide food for their Autumn Festival, and provide lunch for their teachers and administrators during Teacher Appreciation Week.

  • Council on Aging - Council on Aging receives funds from the Club specifically for their Meals-On-Wheels program for Deland and the surrounding area.

  • The Neighborhood Center - The Neighborhood Center is a total community driven agency providing services for our most vulnerable.  They host a food pantry, thrift store, shelter, and complete service office to serve Deland and the surrounding areas. The Club helps primarily with dollar donations, food and other hard-to-stock store items, which in turn helps the Center overall.

  • Community Partnership for Children - Community Partnership for Children is a system-of-care for transitioning children from dangerous or unfit households to state sponsored child care.  Florida contracts with community-based, respected, local, non-profit agencies to provide child welfare services in their local communities for children who have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned. The Club is a part of their network at holiday time with gifts that bring joy and belonging to the children in transition.

  • Rose Manor - Rose Manor is a Home-based Assisted Living Facility with 10 live-in residents. A skilled and highly trained staff provides residents with exceptional personal service and devoted care. Their family-style and homelike atmosphere encourages relaxation and socialization. The Club provides gifts, reading materials, handmade blankets and diversions, like bingo and music.

Other charities such as The Halifax Health Children’s Programs and Guardian Ad Litem are also supported with dollar donations and at holiday gift giving time.
